About GhafoorMD

Sidra Ghafoor, MD

Dr. Sidra Ghafoor

I approach healing through a comprehensive, integrative lens—addressing the mind, body, and spirit to treat the whole person, not just symptoms. My practice blends evidence-based psychopharmacology with personalized psychotherapeutic approaches, tailored to each individual's history, goals, and lived experience.

As a double board-certified psychiatrist in General Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry (ABPN), I specialize in the treatment of addictions, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and women’s mental health across the reproductive lifespan. My approach is collaborative, empowering, and rooted in both clinical rigor and compassionate care. Working with me, you will develop insight into yourself and begin to effect change and make progress in the problem areas of your life.

In addition to my clinical work, I serve as co-founder and president of Fitness in Recovery, a nonprofit organization that integrates evidence-based exercise programming to utilize and optimize the healing power of movement in treating mental health, addictions, and other neurological conditions.

I am out-of-network and do not take any insurance; however, I will provide you with documentation so that you may request reimbursement from your insurance company.
